Co-ownership
When a life estate is created, someone holds an estate that takes effect when the life estate holder dies. An estate in reversion is when the life estate holder dies and the person who grants the life estate gets the estate back. An estate in remainder is when a third party gets the estate. When you have a situation where someone else gets the life estate, there is a successive co-ownership.
